Winter Weather and North Sea Projects

As we head into spring, we are hoping the worst of winter is behind us. Here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, we’ve had more than our fair share of winter weather in the form of frigid temperatures and tenacious blizzards. So, when members of our operations team head for offshore projects in warmer climates, in the likes of Abu Dhabi, Australia and West Africa, there is the added bonus these projects bring with them of having some agreeable conditions that contrast the snow-ridden streets and sidewalks of Halifax.

However, not all of our winter work takes place in such balmy locations. As such, our gear is designed and built to effectively gather data in the harshest of marine environments—not just the pleasant ones.

Recently part of our operations team were completing a moorings inspection project in the North Sea. Here are a few pics:
