In the Gulf of Mexico (GoM), BP is mobilizing a massive operation in response to the oil spill emanating from the Mississippi Canyon 252 well.
Work continues to attempt to bring the MC252 oil well under control, to stop the flow of oil and to contain the oil sub-sea. BP continues to use remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to monitor the sub-sea situation.
