3D Video Survey
An ROV-mounted 3D video system is used to perform in-water GVI for the moorings. The GVI concentrates on the following aspects:
- Condition of fairleads
- Condition of chain currently or previously residing in fairleads
- Missing and loose studs
- Bent links
- General chain condition, including corrosion, sharp gouges, cracks and surface pitting
- Condition of chain swivels, wire/chain connectors, and bend restrictors
- Signs of induced torque in the wire rope
- Overall condition of wire rope, ie: abrasions, cuts, torsion, kinks, corrosion, etc.
