Meet Govinda “G” Jagdeo. G is the newest member of the Welaptega Team and was hired on to fulfill the role of project engineer. He has been with us for just under two months now and his outgoing, optimistic and “can-do” attitude makes him a great addition to our team. Govinda is now offshore Australia working on one of our projects, but before he left we sat down with him to learn a bit more about who is really behind the man we call “G”.

We would like to welcome co-op student Nathan Robinson back to the Welaptega Team. Our avid blog readers might remember a Q&A we did with Nathan back in August 2015 regarding his co-op experience at Welaptega. For those of you who haven’t had a chance to read it, you can do so by clicking here.

We completed the prototype subsea sensor system earlier this year and in-air testing is well underway! The test bed is set up with samples to test data collection and deployment. SAMIR will be mounted onto and travel along the test pieces, collecting data as it goes. Once post-processed, the data will allow us to quantitatively evaluate the condition of the test pieces and demonstrate SAMIR’s capability

During Welaptega’s recent trip to the tropical, football-fanatical region, we managed to fit in a few of the sizzling sights and sounds the breathtaking country had to offer in between a busy, and very productive, day-to-day business schedule.
