Welaptega and the Angel Tree Food Bank

Tis’ the season for giving and in the spirit of giving the employees here at Welaptega rallied together and adopted a family through the Caring & Sharing Angel Tree Food Bank Adopt-A-Family program. The Angle Tree Program began in 1993 and supplies food boxes to approximately 200 families over the Christmas holidays. They also supply gifts to approximately 250 children and feed an additional 300 families through their onsite foodbank in Enfield, NS.

Technology Testing Update: SAMIR Successfully Swims

Mechanical systems tests were re-verified, in-water tests were performed without a hitch, and data was produced as expected; without exception, this day of testing was a very positive and crucial step in preparing this revolutionary technology for commercial use. We are excited to prove the system in the upcoming months and showcase the full offshore inspection capability of SAMIR.

The 2015 Welaptega Bluenose Squash Classic was held from October 20th- October 25th at the Homburg Centre located on Saint Mary’s University Campus, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The highly competitive racquet event has been held in Halifax for 10 years and, even though Welaptega has always supported the event, we are very proud and excited to have had the opportunity to be the title sponsor for this year.
